লাইলী তোমার এসেছে ফিরিয়া
মজনু গো আঁখি খোলো।
প্রিয়তম! এতদিনে বিরহের
নিশি বুঝি ভোর হলো।।
মজনু! তোমার কাঁদন শুনিয়া মরু-নদী পর্বতে
বন্দিনী আজ ভেঙেছে পিঞ্জর বাহির হয়েছে পথে।
আজি দখিনা বাতাস বহে অনুকূল,
ফুটেছে গোলাপ নার্গিস ফুল,
ওগো বুলবুল, ফুটন্ত সেই
গুলবাগিচায় দোলো।।
বনের হরণ-হরিণী কাঁদিনী পথ দেখায়েছে মোরে,
হুরী ও পরীরা ঝুরিয়া ঝুরিয়া চাঁদের প্রদীপ ধ’রে
পথ দেখায়েছে মোরে।
আমার নয়নে নয়ন রাখিয়া
কি বলিতে চাও, হে পরান-পিয়া!
নাম ধ’রে ডাকো ডাকো মোরে স্বামী
ভোলো অভিমান ভোলো।।
